I've gotten a lot of good info from here since I joined at the beginning the season.Especially in respect to lure colors.I've been fishing for a long time and have had great success with certain plugs but I've never given more than the cursory thought as to the color of the plug.
I got hung up on the "natural colors".Which isn't to say they don't work but one thing I learned here is what appears natural to you and me may not appear so to a fish.
One color/plug combo that I've heard about here very often is the
black/purple Bomber Salt A.Well I was able to get my hands on a couple of them a few weeks back and it was totally worth it.
Tonite I returned to fishing the eel grass...somewhere...in Mt.Hope Bay.Its been awhile,I moved.
After releasing a 34" bass and hooking up with 2 more(unfortunately loosing both),I know this much:color in combination with all the other factors that come into play is very important.
I may be the grumpiest SOB around but I AM having a great season. Thanks guys.
PS.If you fish LITE tackle, those blurple bombers are the cats behind!
