Whenever I hit a wave hard my 547 shuts down. It will start right back up but it has become more frequent.
The Hull Truth says its an inline fuse issue.
Anybody have any thoughts on this issue?

Loose connection in the wiring... maybe the connetor? Without question electrical somewhere. Try smacking the machine. If it blinks you know the issue is close to the machine.

Did you simulate the condition of the hard wave impact by tapping the unit and it's interfaces to determine the location

Could it also be connected to a fuze box.....
I notice the "came with the frame" fuze box slots are loosening up ....
A voltage drop will shut er down also.....

The fuse is the first thing I would suspect.
put some dielectric grease on the connections

Thanks. That's what I did and the problem seems to have gone away

We had the same problem with our 740, fix was to update the firmware per Garmin.
The 547 update is here: http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-01093-01
