Was hoping to paint plugs with my air brush tonight. I decided no to because it seems cold and my shop is in the garage and I have no heat. How warm does it need to be to safely paint?

It's water base and 50 degrees or more. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to cure harden the paint.

I work in a cold basement, I use a space heater to heat the place up a little and also I hold the plugs in front of it quickly too help speed up drying.

Don't overdo it though or you can bubble the paint if you heat it up too much.

A hair dryer is a better tool in my opinion. Much harder to ruin the paint job. Heat gun is too hot and requires you to be very careful as to how close you get to plug.

Just keep the gun moving.
