Kayaking these weedy ponds for largemouth is keeping me going. I have been using a Zoom horney toad in watermelon red. Sometimes I use a nail lead up in the body for a little drop. I'v been using an 8 foot, home Depot green garden stake for a pole anchor, so I don't blow off of a nice cove. Monday though, tube and worm in the salt, baby! Watch out stripers...

When I find the prospect of dealing with reckless boaters and uncertain weather conditions to be too much of a hassle, I head out for freshwater bass and pickerel.
Mostly in some of the major rivers in the area, but a few ponds as well, and I normally do find fish.
Not always the monsters we all hope for, but when conditions are difficult it sure helps moral when you know you can still find them!
Rubber frogs, both paddle-foot and floating are a MUST.
I also use paddle-tail and ribbon tail worms as well.
Heck, I have tackle I rarely use, but when the need arises I like knowing that I have them as an option!
