The link is for those unfamiliar.
It seems to me that you guys/gals are far more interested in helping out than winning a raffle. i cant thank you enough but I want to be able to give back at least a little bit. If im correct, I believe John R is looking for a lathe. I have already thanked him for helping me out but if you guys are gonna pitch in for me and my family thru a website created by him, I wanna give back to him. so how about we hold off on the raffle for now and we give John R the lathe and turning tools for helping me put this together(John im sure this is gonna take some of your time and the page you put up for me is great,so anyway).we can let the fund raiser go for a while and when it has had time to be seen by the majority of members we could raffle off the remaining items individualy. I wanna give back and hey if ya win something and ya dont need or want , im sure someone here would like to buy that item for the cost of what ever was donated by you.

for those unfamiliar with this here is a link to the first post about this

and here is a link to a letter describing the trust and a paypal link for anyone who would like to make a donation.

Gilligan, I appreciate the offer but I can get a lathe at a later date. It's low on my list of priorites and in the greater scheme of things not important. If I can help out doing what we are doing now that alone is fine by me and I'm certainly willing to help. I have a son now 2 and a half and I fear if something were to happen to me or his mom.

Some people have wanted to chip in for chances and some just wanted to donate. I think that is fine for those that want to participate to decide what they want to do.

Do you guys have a website specifically for this? If not I could crank one out for you in a few hours free of charge. Something to ask Sandi about...

Thanks,

John

i'm sure that a very long list of respectable god parents (ie- people that would be honored to adopt your son into their fishing family) could be assembled here ,so that in the event and god forbid, it happened that you and the wifey met with a tragic accident ....your wishes for your sons future would be granted.

Thanks, but being honest, I greedily wish to see him go thru life and watch my grandkids grow too :D
