thanks for all the kindness boys. quick dad story - he would sneak around the house in the middle of the night and set all the clocks forward so they would say 5 am. then he would wake us all up and drag us all out smelt fishing in the middle of the night. after awhile we figured it out and it became a running joke. smelting was pretty good back then but the highlights of the nights were when the mackerel showed up. he was a good man and will be missed
