I have a bunch of small electrical projects also. I could use an electrician who doesn't think he's a brain surgeon.... and charge like one.

Good luck, I’ve had 3-4 come out to the house for simple things, only one showed up and never gave me a quote, the others just made appointments and then never showed

Easier to get an electrician to show up than a plumber

lucky I know a plumber. he was over tonight to spec out heating in new shop and we were talking about this. he said the average age of tradesmen in the area is 56 yo and there are not many young guys coming up.

I'm 56, you are right
less interest and have you noticed schools got rid of shop class long ago :(

Mike Rowe is doing something about raising awareness to get people into the trades, I like him, he is a good guy.

Good luck Don finding an electrician.
