Had connection issues, ie. could not get into wifi connection. 1.5 hours later, have disconnected 1/2 year old $300 router and am now running through a "bridge" which is using Infinity's modem as a router as well.... Does that make sense? Can someone tell me if this is the new way of doing things? Why didn't anyone tell me I don't need my own router anymore??? This IT chit drives me n#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g futs! A lot of the newer devices are multi-function and can do it all. Earlier this year Cox tried to sell me a new modem to take advantage of the improved infrastructure...turns out the device they gave me for my phone already was equipped...and yes they should have known that.
