Had connection issues, ie. could not get into wifi connection. 1.5 hours later, have disconnected 1/2 year old $300 router and am now running through a "bridge" which is using Infinity's modem as a router as well.... Does that make sense? Can someone tell me if this is the new way of doing things? Why didn't anyone tell me I don't need my own router anymore??? This IT chit drives me n#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g futs! And costs and arm and a leg!

All the kids have cut the cord with providers.....

Better half has to have security for when she is working at home, which is less and less these days.

Long shot..
Small reset button on router to set back to factory defaults?
Then new router password and wifi password .....

From browser... 192.168.1.1

A lot of the newer devices are multi-function and can do it all. Earlier this year Cox tried to sell me a new modem to take advantage of the improved infrastructure...turns out the device they gave me for my phone already was equipped...and yes they should have known that.
