We do the traditional Christmas Eve seafood dinner and my contribution has been to make crab cakes. Foley my go to for crabmeat doesn’t sell to stores anymore. Any suggestions local to Massachusetts south shore where to get fresh (unfrozen) crabmeat ?

Have you considered calling a local fish market?

Bridgeport that Basswipe mentioned has really good stuff but I don't know how close you are to Tiverton. I'd ask when they're going to get the nearest delivery to Xmas and reserve what you need. The fresh stuff as I'm sure you know spoils fast.

Trader Joe's will have cans of blue swimmer which will have been imported from Indonesia. It is portunus species, not callinectes like Atlantic blue crab. Even Phillips seafood from Baltimore will only supply the Indonesia stuff at this time of year. Not frozen, bit not like fresh Atlantic blue crab. Maybe you are looking for that rock crab stuff they sell in Mass. The portunus is plenty good relative to that stuff.
