Civil rights activists in Florida are issuing travel warnings and tips on how to avoid law enforcement.

A Florida immigration coalition composed of activist groups, such as the Council of American-Islamic Relations of Florida, the Women’s March, and the Florida Immigrant Coalition, are urging anyone who’s in the country illegally to “reconsider visiting Florida and especially recommended to avoid high-risk areas, including ports, airports, and Greyhound stations,” as reported by the Miami New Times.

Activists have staged events across the state to get out the word to illegal immigrants who are thinking about vacationing in Florida during Spring Break.

seems this isn't as surprising as your lead suggest ....

warning to immigrant visitors isn't unprecedented — the American Civil Liberties Union issued a similar warning in March 2017 to immigrants visiting Texas,

Barack Obama's administration actually deported a far greater number of immigrants than Trump has so far. But anti-deportation groups also heaped scorn on Obama for the same issue,

You mean that's all we needed to do, send a warning not to come, and they don't come. Brilliant in its simplicity

I don't think anyone is surprised that American left wing groups are actively undermining American law enforcement....

the "you can't make it up" part ...is a reflection on how sad it it that this is not surprising and almost routine....

I think Obama's numbers versus Bush are more interesting.

The concern I have is that Obama prioritized deportations from the bottom of the barrel where as Trump is going after anyone including a lot of people that embody American values more than many Americans.
