Well I went to the race today and I got nothing!! But I did not get there till 9am and I really did not think I was going to at that time.
But had a great time with the wife and kids!
I meet some buddys of mine I have not seen in about 2 years! They are in there campers for the week and that was nice, We got to talk for a while. One of them was going to go 17 mile off for some cod. He has his boat rt on the beach.

Well was there anyone else there today?? Tons of people out there!! If you saw this then you saw me:

My son caught a Comarad, The thig picked up his sand eel and got hooked in the mouth!! So he reeled it in slowly and we got to it and threw a blanket over its head Then I grabed it by the neck and cut the the line. I could not get the hook out as it was in its mouth!
Then we let it go, Well then guess what, It got tangled in my line so again I reeled it in and cut the line to the water and then cut the line from the pool to the bird. It got up and flew away.
I wish I could have got the hook out of its mouth!! But it was a small 2/0 bait hook and it should rot out quick.

My truck is a full size 1990 Blazer with the roof removed.

I had a gul swoop down last night and snatch my pollock up. Swallowed him whole hook and all. I could only bring him in within four feet of me and knew that the circle hook was down deep. Only thing I could do was cut the line and feel bad.

What a bummer...

The only thing I could hope for, is that I wish it was a Piping Plover :laughs: :laughs: Piping Plovers taste like Chicken, :drool: :drool:

Well I would like to had been there at 4am, But when you are bring the wife and daughter, I should have been happy to be there at 9am.
For me to get out of here by 8am was a chore you no!!! Lots of yelling LETS GO, LETS GO
But had a nice day any how. But I did want to go into town to see the fella parade!! But the kids wanted to go home, My wife I got salt all over me ect, ect..................

I'll be out fishing the Race. From 4:00 AM on the next couple of days. Looks like the tide will be nice for us on Sunday morn.

joe, it was a family day so what the heck. just thought you were going yourself surfcasting with the 4 yr. old rod. as far as the parade goes think ya made the best move by getting outa there!!!not the place you want to bring the family.the real parade starts when the bars let out, what a zoo!!

Sun AM look for the Bombas in a black 1999 cherokee roof racks and hitch hauler with pvc rod holders.
Probably want to stay away from us, though as my luck has been quite bad on all fronts.

Gloucester, I wish I lived rt next to the ramp down there!! I belive that I moved to far on to the cape as i love to fish the vinyard!
As for looking for the thta truck, It changes alot!! Somtimes the rack is on the front with no roof, sometimes roof and no rack, sometimes roof and rack, ect.................
