View Full Version : &^%$&^&^%&^ SNOW!!!!!!!!! JFigliuolo 03-12-2018, 07:40 AM Wife scheduled to be at the hospital tomorrow... 6AM for knee replacement. WTF!!!!!!!! Got Stripers 03-12-2018, 07:42 AM Hear on the coast in Plymouth we are usually seeing rain, but it appears the cross hairs are on us for this one. And of course I had used the break to rake and get 90% of my spring cleanup done, hope its just some stick pick up this time around. Last time around between two trees in my yard and two from neighbors coming into my yard, I had enough fun time. ProfessorM 03-12-2018, 09:12 AM Finally going to get a chance to try out the new snow blower. Been sitting idle since I bought it. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device wdmso 03-12-2018, 09:56 AM Of course I Un covered the boat last monday Clammer 03-12-2018, 10:14 AM which hospital Joe , I,m getting new tires today >< when I rode the beaches yesterday & their weren,t any tracks I said /////////// its past time ><> JFigliuolo 03-12-2018, 01:29 PM Miriam... have 4WD in the SUV so we should be OK. JohnR 03-12-2018, 01:43 PM My mom gets in to TFG from a week in Aruba late tonight - expecting to drive back to Cape - looks like I am picking her up instead and shoveling her car out tomorrow. Of course I Un covered the boat last monday Ouch! Cover it back up nightfighter 03-12-2018, 04:54 PM Locally they are saying 16 to 20"........ And ANOTHER snowy noreaster possible next week..... Deal with it 😜 Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device BEETLE 03-12-2018, 07:04 PM :bs: Sea Dangles 03-12-2018, 08:38 PM Yup, snow is cool Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device tysdad115 03-12-2018, 09:16 PM If they'd only ban storms... nobody needs 2 feet of snow. Wasn't bad out this AM afterall... but alas, it wasn't my call. Got Stripers 03-13-2018, 08:55 AM We lost power for a few minutes and based on the wet sticky snow we are getting by the coast in Plymouth, I might have to break out the ellipse hot spot soon if the router goes down. Can't even see out the windows with all the snow plastered on them. Got Stripers 03-13-2018, 11:49 AM Plymouth is down now, no power for the past hour. Guppy 03-13-2018, 04:44 PM No power here, been out since mid morning..... 10" of slush out there ,,, What do ya do without tv in the evening? ( remember I'm over the hill) :-) Got Stripers 03-13-2018, 05:34 PM Power back, but my back is junk, even the snow blower would move 1-1/2" of slush, covered in 2-3" of wet packed snow. Glad I shoveled before the freeze, I'd have needed an ice axe to find the car and truck. piemma 03-14-2018, 06:08 AM We're still in South Carolina. Were coming home next week but I'm cancelling that. What really blows about snow for me. I hand shovel out 2 elderly neighbors driveways after my own each time it snows. No spot for a snowblower to throw it. Usually get plowed in a few times to boot. Each storm is a lost days pay and 8-10 hours of tempting cardiac arrest. Can’t find any fat kids to get out of the basement video game parlor to make a few bucks. Different world now, as a kid there’d be an army of us out there every snow storm. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device MikeD 03-15-2018, 03:12 PM I'm in Kingston MA and the pine tree situation here is unreal. I've never seen such widespread carnage. 40 footers dropping everywhere. Even though I enjoy having a permanent scent of chain/bar oil and pine another wind and wet snow event would suck here. This last storm put a dangerous 65 foot maple leaning on my shed with no way to cut it down to the ground safely. I emptied the shed mostly and will wait for a professional. piemma 03-16-2018, 05:38 AM Hittem straight Paul. Thanks Jay. Shot an 84, 2 days ago. Game is really shaping up. Got Stripers 03-16-2018, 07:57 AM Paul, You and I need to hook up on the course this year and maybe on the water near that fella that smells like clams all the time. Same ownership now (Beretta). Tikka only makes bolt action rifles now, no semi-autos. Slipknot 03-16-2018, 01:12 PM Tikka and yes Beretta imports them to the US. I believe the Tikka are made by Sako but cost a third or more less. Sako are high quality, I can't afford them, maybe next time around. Can you pull it off with your truck? Slipknot 03-16-2018, 05:33 PM no, it would be easier to yank the shed out from under it but grass is wet and right where my leaching field is, besides I have a 2500 with 80 psi tires that have no grip. I thought about putting a cable winch from one tree to the other to keep it from getting worse. Mike P 03-16-2018, 06:37 PM Tikka and yes Beretta imports them to the US. Agreed. I have never played Harbour Light but we are members at Crystal Lake and you are welcome to join me anytime. 18 hole links course in NW RI.
