It's good if we all know who they are. Anyone at CNN or MSNBC doing the same thing that Peters did, calling out the bias there? Would Spence call that out as being noble? On a good night, maybe 3 million people watch Foxnews in primetime? That's 1% of the population? How much influence does Fox really have? He's a simple-minded baby who gives a thumbs-up to Fox and Friends when they stroke his fur. OK. Is there any reason to believe that Fox & Friends (a morning puff show that is clearly right leaning) is influencing policy? Congress still writes laws and passes budgets, last time I checked. So it's not like Fox & Friends can say "abortion should be outlawed " and then - POOF - abortion is outlawed. From where I sit, Trump is pretty much doing what he pledged during the campaign. I don't see that Fox is steering his agenda. They may be saying it's a great agenda, and then he tweets that they are brilliant for saying his agenda is great...that doesn't mean they are influencing the agenda. I hope not. The tweets are very un-presidential. Nebe 03-22-2018, 02:23 PM I don't like Trump's tweets, very un-presidential. I said most of us are getting something. I didn't get a bonus at Liberty Mutual. But my pay went up, because my tax rate went down. Do you understand? I don't know a single person at my company, whose paycheck didn't increase, thanks to tax reform. WDMSO, you have a pension, correct? Some of that pension, surely, is invested in stocks and bonds. So if the companies you own are more profitable, that's good for your pension, which is good for you. Maybe you don't care, because even if all those investments tank, you expect taxpayers to make that up, so maybe you don't care where your gains come from. But believe me, it does matter. Your pension, if you live long enough, will pay out a lot more than you put into it. You need investment income, to fund the difference. You seem to think that if companies become more profitable, that only benefits wealthy people. That's not even close to being true. Just because every cent didn't go to the rank-and-file, doesn't mean they don't benefit. "only to some people" Naturally. Has there ever been a Supreme Court pick who everyone approved of? WHen Obama nominated the racist maniac Sonia Sotomayor, did everyone approve, or only some people? The people who voted for Trump, are thrilled with Gorsuch. "sounds like your suffering from stockholm syndrome" Stockholm Syndrome is when you become attached to your tormentor. Trump nominated a Supreme Court pick who actually believes that the constitution matters, and he is putting $200 a month more in my pocket, which will exactly pay for the little camper I just bought for my family, which we cannot wait to start enjoying together, and creating lifelong memories of time spent together. If that's your idea of 'torment', then Trump can torment me all he wants. Bring on the abuse! Jim in CT 03-23-2018, 05:40 AM He’s setting up his war cabinet now. You can't worry about what happens in a week. When I get paid on the 30th, my 401k contribution will buy on the dips. When you invest over a long period of time, dips are a good thing, it's called dollar cost averaging. Jim in CT 03-23-2018, 09:07 AM Just make sure it's a short term note for that camper, those tax "cuts" don't last 10 years. Why did you put "cuts" in quotes, out of curiosity? Income tax rates are lower than they used to be. Do you only concede that's a true cut, if the sitting President happens to be a democrat?
