I have been trying to sell a 10'6 Hatteras Jack custom surf casting rod that Ihave just recieved. It is a 10'6 casting rod with fuji alconite guides. The rod has a metallic blue underwrap, royal blue overwrap, and gold trim, and also has a striper decal and a cork tape butt. It is the nicest rod i have ever seen. It is however rated for 2-5 ounces and feels a bit light. I bought the rod for $285.00 and it has never been used. I am looking for somewhere around 220- 230 dollars for the rod. Any one interested or any suggestions for selling the rod would be greatly appreciated.

You can try to sell it on consignment at a tackle store. You can also try Ebay. With the price your asking,(and im not knocking you at all here)..People could go out and purchase a brand new one for a little more than you are asking. We never get what we pay for something the tuth is, once its used, its used even if only once.I sold a Gloomis 1087 that I paid 285.00 for 100 bucks!! Thats just the way it is.

Striperman, can you get photos of that rod?? I still think that EBAY is your best bet to hit the widest possible audience. You can then hit a bunch of different message boards and say to look at ebay for the rod, give them the item#... Not the most ethical but it should help. If you want, you can e-mail me the photos of the rod and I'll put them on a page you can link from to show the rod on EBAY. Hatteras Jack makes a very sweet rod on the Breakaway blank. You should be able to find a buyer on it...
