View Full Version : Gallery buildout...
im in the middle of this fiasco at the moment.. Mrs Nebe and myself are doing it all with the exception of the electrical stuff..
This building was an old Napa auto parts building and before that it was a car dealership. took down a wall, and are drywalling over 1960's knotty pine and also framing in strips, half inch plywood and sheetwrocking over a few cinder block walls... next steps are to paint the walls and ceiling, then instal a floating laminate floor and LED track lighting.
I'll add some more pics as we progress along... my humble head bows to the guys here who do this for a living. Im sure I am taking way too long, but Id like to think we are doing it right...

You pretty much nailed it.. I can practice my free diving breath holding techniques by holding my breath, walking out my door, walk across the parking lot and sit down at the bar and exhale with the words.... " Whalers Rise please..." :cheers2:
Rmarsh 05-19-2018, 06:12 AM Nice work......and doing it yourself is the way to go.
made an exhaust hood over the past 2 days.. this is just to capture hot air form my furnaces and hold It captive so it can be sucked out the wall through an exhaust fan...
Rmarsh 05-27-2018, 09:31 AM Nice!
Doing your own work can be so satisfying.
What are the panels made of and total length?
The panels are 20 gauge galvanized steel sheet. It’s 20 feet long and 6 feet wide. It’s also 12.5 feet high which made it a challenge to build. The frame is 1/8” 2x2 angle that is mig welded together. Anchored to back wall’s studs and the front is suspended by chain, with 1 post on the end butted against the wall.
