Holy Schmoly, did you see the prices at the pump lately?

I guess disappointing Iraqi production, uncertainty in Israel/Palestine, Argentina exports, and constraints on refinery capacity are taking their toll.

In certain places in CT, unleaded is going as high as $2.05/gallon (freakin' Gold Coast prices).

Average here is $1.75-$1.80.

Cheapest I've seen is $1.599 in Milford, CT (Pilot Travel Center off of Exit 40 on I-95).

Anyone else shopping around?

Seriously no, I just see the $ going up. $1.79.9 today.

Sucks, the Hilton is getting low, and I have the dilema, put in $20, and see if it goes down, or fill it up.... between the 2 tanks it's a 100 gallon capacity, so when I pull in the gas station guy usually starts droolin' , and then there is the propane tank, for the fridge, stove, and the water heater, and the furnace, (now that fall's comin'),30 gallon tank, and thats almost $2 a gallon now :af: and the suckah is almost empty, but I haven't filled it since April...

Oh well, glad the pickup runs on the aftah' fumes from the jr.s' and the chili!

Well I saw and got gas today in yarmouth for 1.58, But when I was up P-Town way ast thur I saw 1.73 in one place and on are way I saw a place that was 1.63 in the AM and 1.70 in the afternoon!!
I just did a gas thing on my Blazer, around town I am getting about 15 1/2 per Gal, Towing the boat (aprox 3000 #) I am getting 12 per gal, Towing the Camper (10,000 #) got 10 per gal. I went to Vermont back in April and got 18 on the high way.

Boat gets about 3 1/4 per gal.

Cheer up summer is almost gone and the price will be droping again!!

Avrage car has about 20 gal gas tank. Gas at 1.30 gal = $26.00
20 gal X 1.60= 32.00 about $6.00 increase 1 tank a week for a year is $ 72.00 a year more

Not that we like the price but, we do have just about the cheapest gas in the world!!

The rising gas prices have nothing to do with Iraq or any other country for that matter.Labor day weekend is coming and there's
cash to be made. The price per barrel of oil is at its cheapest in some time, remember we basically annexed one of the largest oil producing countries in the world. Its all about how much money the American oil corporations and the Fed can suck out of you.

2.19 at the street pump in Edgartown for REGULAR yesterday...(not bad for me though cause I don't commute....I fill up the Yukon XL about once per month and normally it is not a complete fill up cause the pump stops at 50 bucks automatically.
At the dock...I don't know this week; last week (before the jump) I got it for 2.17 and thought it was a barging (for here)...I bet it is pushing 2.50 today...I will have to check.

The price will come back down soon demand plunges after Labor Day. (They are blaming this on the refinery’s blackout...yeah right! they have a 3+ month supply as a buffer...what could 2 days of blackout cause?)

I thought I saw gas pretty cheap at the CITGO ($1.72) under the Sagamore on Sunday compared to what I had just paid at Exxon. Saw it for 1.48 at Mobil this morning, but I guess most of you probably wouldn't want to drive to NJ even for a good deal.
