I didn't watch the VMU's last night (thank God!) but read that Madonna was the speaker for the Aretha Franklin tribute.
She dressed like she thought she was an African by "cultural appropriation" of clothing and jewelry (which appeared soooo wrong on her)
Ignoring her fashion insult, she proceeded to lament on HER career and HER life story instead of Aretha's.
Just another case of a sad glory-whore looking to make themselves seem more relevant after they're past their prime!
The picture of her in her misappropriated cultural garb is as insulting as her self-absorbed speech.
