Believe it or not when John R started this site in 2000 it was ALL FISHING, didn’t even have a political page.
Now it’s a 99.9% political forum, a weekly Weekend Plans and an occasional fishing post site.
I wish John would just take the political page down & im sure I’m not alone.

This has more to do with social media in general. People connecting about fishing in other ways. The political forum is not the death of sb.com....

I would not be opposed if he choose to close it ... fishing is seasonal politics is year round...

I would still fish with anyone here no matter how different we may see the world :cheers:

It is what it is. Social Media killed most fishing sites. The ones that survived generally have full time people editing and providing content - and FISHING REPORTS / SPOTs.

I can work on this full time or pay my mortgage - that was my choice. As for the Poli forum, it is a pub that allows opinionated people like you to stay good (or dumb) things with little repercussion. Not as fun as fishing but just as important.
