Without radar you are a liability to everyone else. When I had my boat, I never ran to he Block a night and I picked my days. SolOmoN 07-06-2019, 06:46 PM Wave height and time interval are also considerations. They go hand in hand with wind direction and speed. Basically the shorter the interval the more uncomfortable it will be. Add stronger wind and some opposing tide and it becomes not doable for smaller boats.
