To think about fishing block at night you should be comfortable operating your craft by instruments only. Please don’t go without radar as you become a liability. There are great opportunities there for lifetime experiences.

What Chris said. Without radar you are a liability to everyone else. When I had my boat, I never ran to he Block a night and I picked my days.

Wave height and time interval are also considerations. They go hand in hand with wind direction and speed. Basically the shorter the interval the more uncomfortable it will be. Add stronger wind and some opposing tide and it becomes not doable for smaller boats. Like piemma stated above pick your days.
