hello,
i just wanted to let you people know who fish there on the weymouth side that there is a guy living in the woods in great esker park. when i was walking into the park at the gate near the bridge there was a van parked right in front of the gate that had been broken into by way of a smashed window. it was a dog walking service and the poor girl had about 15 dogs on leashes that couldnt be brought home because of all the broken glass in the van. the guy who lives in the woods approached me with 40 oz beer and sat down right next to me with his hand wrapped in dirty paper bledding pretty bad. when i asked him what happened he told me he had cut his hand collecting bottles. i left after a bit because the guy was pretty shady and i was by myself. the girl with all the dogs was still there waiting for AAA i assume, so i told her what i saw and she called the police.
just keep an eye out cause this guy came out of nowhere behind me in the woods

There are quite a few undesirables around that area. Both sides of the bridge. Cars have been broken into there for many years. Watch your back there at night! Anytime I've been there after dark, I bring a little friend of mine for protection!;) :rocketem:

Oh no! I usually fish alone there, man. I recalled there was a skleton of a dead cat or animal some of sort. S*!! I feel so creepy and uncomfortable during the night.

BigBo, where do you buy your protections? From the policefarms.com?

Yeah, in earlier posts someone was asking about the Back River area and I had warned people of that dude living in the woods. Unfortunate situation for the dog walker. Not a good thing when a park becomes a scary and unsafe place to be at any time of the day. Also be an unfotunate situation for the woods dweller should he try and out run Mr. 9mm. Don't know too many people that can run faster than 1100 feet per second. Pray it never comes to that type of situation. Sad day when I got to pack for the range when I go fishing.....

If the dude(ette?)s would just try and be normal(ish) while livin out there in the woods I don't think there would be a problem.

Maybe he just needs a fishing pole. Anyone got an extra POS they could leave down there for him?

Maybe if he was busy fishing he wouldn't have time to bust up windows and get folks riled up.

he has been there the past couple years during the nice weather. ive always seen signs of him but never met him. he seemed like he had some mental issues but wasn't aggressive or threatning. that could change in a heartbeat though so i figured i'd give people a heads up

i need one golden retriever and one saint bernard and a 4x4 truck to be with me. oh, i might need a baton, magnum gun, socom w/ a silencer, and t2 shot gun style....
man, it sucks if u re gonna fish alone at night. when i tried the tidal flats at 5 AM, i was scared crapless. i never explored the area. but there are several anglers on that area. i felt so relieved last last sat AM. im gonna bring a partner with me from now on!

C'mon guys....it's not that bad down there. I've fished there at night hundreds of times and never had a problem. I have heard of break ins but it never happened to me, and never came across anyone that posed a threat. Some nice hotties walking their dogs there during the day too :humpty:

Break ins are the main problem down there but I had a buddy get harassed and assaulted there a couple years ago by a bunch of punks. They started hurling bottles and trash at him for at least 30 minutes before someone else came along and chased them out threatening to call police. Police did show and said they were trying to clean them out but they just keep coming back.

I expect they were bored hanging at the harborlight. Since they razed the mall there is less of an attraction for the punks. Most punks don't eat at applebees or 99. Nor do they tend to hang out pretending to shop at HomeDepot type stores

CAL, you will never know... Don't take it for granted. I never have seen hotties around. All I see saggy mommies with their kiddies walking on the beach. Got the sitter yet?
