I'm sure we all have a bunch of these, this one happened today...
Out on the water all morning, wind-honking putting the thighs and knees to the test while trying to cast to Charlie between waves

While trailering home, doing the check-list in my head...
stop to refuel
flush motor
rinse boat
>> check and fill oil tank. .. .??

Lean over starboard side, open the hatch door to view the tank like I always do..
Rock back and forth to move the oil around in the tank so I can see where it's levels at
I see nothing..
rock the boat again....see nothing?? :huh:
scheet...I need oil, ..bad!
Grab some oil, pour down oil reservoir hose...
re-open hatch, look back at tank, rock back and forth...see nothing..
Grab phone, use flash-light app...hold on side of tank, rock back and forth...still see nothing?#^&:eek5:

pour more oil........use flashlight again, STILL see no change?

finally realize I had been looking at my battery the whole time....flashlight app and all ....:fishslap:

oil tank got over-filled with oil getting up into the feed-hose

What I did, got the boat all ready the night before to insure an early start, didn't sleep much in anticipation of an epic fishing trip, got up and had one cup of coffee instead of my usual 3 or 4. Got to the ramp and launched and then......realized I forgot to bring rod, reel and tackle! Too late to drive back home :doh:

Fished all night, ran an hr. up north for the rest of the day , end of the day came back with a 13 knt wind in my face , one eye open, went to the wrong harbah.... WTF where’s my truck?

It’s still dark, dog tired, stops to fuel up, back home, pours the fuel additive down the rod holder...

The older I get the worse it gets... LOL
