View Full Version : Blue Blitz on the Race
macojoe 09-02-2003, 09:29 PM I have some friends that are here from Mississippi and I took them to P-Town today. We went into the town for a coupe of hours and had a great time.
Then it was off to the beach. Well I showed up there just before dark and there was a hell of a blue fish blitz going on!! And I was with out a rod :af: :smash: :af: :smash: :af: :smash:
There was fish all over the beach!! one ince to two inch baby herrin all over the place!! Millions of them. I will never be with out a rod in my truck again!!
macojoe 09-02-2003, 09:30 PM this is a fish I watched a guy bring in. you can see all the bait on the beach.
BigBo 09-02-2003, 09:34 PM MJ, that's not like you to get caught with your pants down like that. Oh wait, you were in P-Town.:humpty: :bshake: :laughs:
macojoe 09-02-2003, 09:35 PM Nice!!;)
BigBo 09-02-2003, 09:38 PM I know you and I'm sure you had quite a few words for the locals in town:happy:
Christian 09-02-2003, 09:44 PM u sure those arent peanuts? rod in car at all times, ya never know.
macojoe 09-02-2003, 10:08 PM they could be?
Bob Thomas 09-03-2003, 06:26 AM A buddy of mine was out to the race on Saturday evening. He said that there were Peanut Bunker stacked up in the water from the point all the way down to the Mission Bell. He did alright in the Striper category but said that the bluefish were EVERYWHERE! Me thinks it's about time to make another jaunt out :smash:
MikeTLive 09-03-2003, 07:55 AM All the way out in P-Town and you couldn't get someone to let you hold his rod?
macojoe 09-03-2003, 08:36 AM LMFAO!! MT:laughs: :laughs: :laughs:
Christian 09-03-2003, 10:47 AM send those bunker up here NOW!
I HAVE to ask...why on EARTH would you even GO there without a rod???? honey sounds like you need to buy a crappo rod to throw in the back and leave there just for cases like this! My husband rolls his eyes at me sometimes! we'll be going somewhere with no plans of fishing but I have to pack a rod "just in case we see a little pond along the way!":D and if were going any where NEAR the ocean...the rod DEFINATELY goes....
macojoe 09-03-2003, 11:43 AM stupidity I guess :smash: I took some friends to the spice Co. out there as they are so cheap on there spices and my friends wanted to go. I also have been wanting to go as I amabout to start making pickles and needed some supplys.
This turned into a ride into town and wlking all over the place. Then I said why don't we go out to the beach and show you the light house and stuff, So off we go. Got there about 1/2 hour before the lights went out and fish all over the place!!
My friend and his girl friend are from Mississippi. And never been out there. If I had a rod they coud have caught there first fish out there. O well i have a rod to put inthere for now on, but of corase now that I am ready this will never happen again!!
bassmaster 09-03-2003, 10:57 PM yep there nuts there bass after dark. then I left and Hid down a dirt road and june jumped to My hole :bshake:
the blues are I guess 3 to 9 or 10 pounds and the bass are Micro sized but one after another dead drifting plugs.
I was somw where early'r But I had to fight off them seals after the 2nd bass so I left
l.i.fish.in.vt 09-04-2003, 06:05 AM Dave, funny thing you say dead drifting plugs. thats how i was scoring bass when i was there. moving plugs equaled blues. on the pause or stop was when the bass hit.they did like a big yellow and white needle and small yellow and white popper.
bassmaster 09-04-2003, 07:22 AM I left My tat darter in my other bag.
didnt feel like trashing out needles so I went with a *****and ***** bomber:D
tossed some bm's else where But them seals suck so I left after a few bass
