Caught the skunk on both outings, Friday and Sunday. The water is still below 50, and although we did see a few fish in the river, I'm only aware of one being caught on a worm. Good news is that the deck and shed are stained, so I have the next four months available exclusively for fishing. Heard that there may be a south wind early this week. Maybe it will finally bring up the warmer water and the fish.

Good to hear that the house is all settled Marty. Now with some decent weather you'll start hammering the bass!!! Good luck...

Sorry to hear that you didn't catch anything Marty. I fished the presumpscot yesterday and got four stripers between 17 and 24 inches on slug-go. Then I went again today and got seven more from 15 inches to a fat 24 inches. caught these on a rubber shad and slug-go. Another thing about today that was good was the good numbers of bait fish that are finally showing up. Things should really start to heat up. Good luck!

Thanks, chebeague. For some reason, even though Ogunquit is further south, it is usually the last area to get fish. I did see more sand eels around yesterday, plus the water temps are getting warmer so I agree that it could be any day now. There's no question that they will arrive within the next week or so, but I'm just hoping it will be a better year than last. It seems that the the number of fish has taken a dramatic drop, but the size is getting bigger. I personally would rather get a bunch of smaller fish than one or two large ones, espeically when I'm putting in anywhere from 6-10 hours a day on the beach and throw them all back anyway.
