I caught nothing. I'm going to keep practice until I can bring a dinner fare to my table. But I'm looking for a new outfit for light tackle conventional gear.

I was fishing with a guy from Maryland last night who got a 34 pound fish and a 15 pound fish. His first time fishing Rhody style (eel) he usually uses blood worms on the bottom.
We were on a ledge that was awash with about 2 feet of water and the fish hit on the ledge about ten feet from the rod tip.
He kept the 34 - it had 3 lobsters in it's stomach.
I got one tonight on a black needle - about twenty pounds. The needle broke. Things are starting to weed up and the surf is building.

Picked up a skunk yesterday, but a couple days ago got a couple in the high teens to low 20 lbers. Also, same day, got some decent Fluke.

Scweet! Wollaston Beach? Is the tide timing same as Back River or Boston Haba? I'm gonna do a little jigging and plugging this weekend if I can...

Slingah,

Hey, I never even wet a line while I was up your way. Too busy and way to tired afterwards.
Got back a week and half ago and the fishing has been great here. Nothing stupendous but keepers up to 35 lbs for me and near 50 for others.
It is going to be some Fall run :D

Been getting a few over this way in CT. Biggest this past weekend were a pair of medium sized 39 inch bass.

Just back from the beach. Had 5 fish 29-32". All caught on a Blurple bomber. A couple of jerks upon impact and then a slow retreive. 1 hour spent casting.

Any time spent catching is a lot better than time spent working !
