Okay, well, if neither Trump nor his lawyers will participate in a public hearing about impeachment and how it may apply to the president’s wrongdoing then let’s not hear anymore complaints about an “unfair process” or his offenses “not being impeachable.”

Because the evidence is overwhelming and they have no defense. Despite what Trumplicans are spewing on camera and on twitter. They haven’t put forth a SHRED of evidence that Trump is innocent. Nothing.

Well, yeah, they did put forth some shreds, but it is not necessary to do so. In the trial, it is not necessary to prove innocence. It is guilt that must be proven.

Congress is not a court of law and impeachment is a political trial.
If it was a court of law people would be in jail for failing to heed subpoenas and failing to appear when subpoenaed.
The obstruction of the Floridaman administration is unprecedented in this country but not in the typical tinpot dictatorship that doesn’t have rule of law.
It’s pretty simple actually.
Trump should be removed and disqualified from office for the precise set of reasons our Constitution’s Framers created this extraordinary process: As he has told us repeatedly, he will seek and use information from foreign governments and agents to pervert our next presidential election to his personal, political, and pecuniary benefit.

What did they put forth?

He could plead the Fifth.

Remember

I have no deals in Russia

I’d love to release my tax returns

I want to talk to Mueller

You’ll have to ask my lawyer

Its unfair Trump speak for there is no way i am going testify under oath.

Or. The mob takes the Fifth,” Trump said after Hillary Clinton aides invoked their right against self-incrimination. “If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

Kellyanne Conway also suggested merely being under investigation meant you aren't honest.

One again Republican have historical amnesia
