Trump's farm bailout has cost taxpayers more than double the auto bailout

Auto 12 billion

Farm bail out 28 million

Republicans panned that bailout, saying that "free market" principles should have let the American auto makers to go under

just another example of historical amnesia

the automakers got themselves into a mess ( with a lot of help from labor unions, but let’s save that debate). The farmers didnt do this to themselves.

Trump deserves to be criticized for hurting farmers, no question. it’s a con in the list of pros and cons. .

He claims the bailout is being paid by the money the government is getting from tariffs. Who knows. But doing the right thing can temporarily hurt some. In the long run, it will be better for all.

Who pays the tariffs?
Why is socialism ok when Floridaman does it?
Next he’ll have five year agriculture plans for the farmers, the heroes of the State.
Meanwhile Xi is laughing at the 🤡 he knows he has him by the short hairs, he can decimate American exports and only lose some money and piss off some of his citizens and blame it on the 🤡
Meanwhile our manufacturers will have holes in their supply chains and be losing market share around the world to........China

As expected the excuses sound like Comm Boat guys fishing in the Canal:btu:

So much for being against the government picking winners and losers

the auto bailout was crucial to reviving U.S. industry in the Great Recession. For one thing, the U.S. recovered all but about $9 billion of the auto bailout money.

How are we getting money back from farmers ?

its just funny to see what your for and what your against based on what Party does the bailing out.. it lacks any form of critical thinking:btu:

That's the lie Floridaman told

Our great Farmers will recieve another major round of “cash,” compliments of China Tariffs, prior to Thanksgiving. The smaller farms and farmers will be big beneficiaries. In the meantime, and as you may have noticed, China is starting to buy big again. Japan deal DONE. Enjoy!

According to a recent study, “the richest of the rich” — the top 1% — received 13% of the federal payments, or more than $177,000 each. The bottom 80%, on the other hand, got an average payment of $5,136. Three of the “fat cats” received more than $1 million each, while 45 got more than $500,000.

The ones it really killed are the younger guys getting close to being established, betting it all on a dream based on a market that had been stable and growing for years.
