View Full Version : Canal at 3AM tonight!!! farmermg 09-04-2003, 03:55 PM Can hardly wait to knock'em dead (or release'em alive).... macojoe 09-04-2003, 04:08 PM what you using for bait?? or are you pluging?? I was thinking about the same thing. Good Luck farmermg 09-04-2003, 04:11 PM I'll be jigging....Sluggos, bucks, wildeyes.... macojoe 09-04-2003, 04:14 PM I am not much of a plug guy or shore fisherman!! I have not been down to the Cannale for about 4 or 5 years, and then I use bait and have to retie every cast :smash: But I am bored and thought what the heck. Slipknot 09-04-2003, 04:28 PM macojoe, I am heading down there by 7 tonight. :D jigging macojoe 09-04-2003, 04:30 PM buck tail's?? how many oz?? STEVE IN MASS 09-04-2003, 04:33 PM Errrr....stop the temptation....errrr...ya gotta close on the re-finance tomorrow....errrr.....but I could be home by....errrr.....no ya can't do it....errrrr.....but maybe if I....eerrrr....no, there's not enough gas in the tank, and I ain't paying $1.90 at the local all night place......errrrr............ Good luck guys.....errrrrr.............. Slipknot 09-04-2003, 04:35 PM Skinjigs - 3-1/2 oz if the current is slow enough, and 4-1/2 oz if the current is moving fast. Bucktails usually 4 oz is enough. There has been a strong SW wind most of the day so the east running tide must be smoking. I will fish the last of the west. try red porkrind as sometimes the bass are on lobsters. STEVE IN MASS 09-04-2003, 04:39 PM Good advice, Slip, though the 9" white Ledgerunner jerks on a 3 1/2-4 oz jighead have done the best for me this year.....EVEN in the dark (go figure)..... macojoe 09-04-2003, 04:44 PM well I don't have any skin jigs so I guess I will do buck tails and i do have some slugo in the pink color farmermg 09-04-2003, 04:49 PM I'm gonna give it a try with the 6" and 9" wildeyes first (killed'em on Wednesday with em). If that ain't workin' I'll go with an appropriate buctail and a rind behind. macojoe 09-04-2003, 05:38 PM Thanks guys!! If you see me say hi! Iwill be the guy fishing.
