Last I talked with Jr he was thinking about doing plugs again but that was a couple months back so not sure his plan now. You can buy grommets online from NJTackle.

John Jr put a message up a few years ago but I don't remember where. he said he was closing the business and was going to pursue what he always wanted to do. I don't remember what that was.

Ordered some grommets from NJ tackle. Thanks
A good portion of 30 fish over 20 pounds this past season came on those stubbies!! Dressed in a custom holographic wrap.

Did he want to be an artist maybe?

That's the spirit!

I last talked to John Jr a couple of years ago and he said he wanted to pursue graphic art I think.

I hear ya. I'm still working for BackBeach at Franklin CC cutting trees and mowing but Korker spikes and rock just don't agree with my knees anymore.

At 65 I hope to have maybe 10 more good surf years. I fished harder last year than I have in a long time. Although I did always fish I could not put in the time required to really keep on the fish. I mean I caught but last season I was able to fish as much as physically possible and it is a hell of a lot harder than it used to be. As I remember though it was never easy. Recommitting to physical strength and endurance this winter and hope to be back at it harder than ever this coming season, God willing.

I heard some rumblings late last season that you got into a couple truly big fish. If true, congrats. Perhaps we'll cross paths this season. :wavey:
