First Trump and Pence call Georgia Governor to tell him they supported his decision to reopen Friday (bowling alleys, really that is essential?), and a day later it is a bad idea, too soon, hugely.... Talk about hanging the GA Gov out to dry if this goes awry...

This is what completely inept leadership looks like when you only listen to the last person you heard and change your mind on a whim.

how is it hanging the governor out to dry if it is ultimately the governor's decision?

Because Trump is playing both sides of the coin and prepared to throw all the states under the bus if and when things don’t go well.

Isn't that exactly what the country has been dealing with for 3 1/2 years?

This.
Trump desperately wants states to start to open. If it goes well he looks great. If it goes poorly he can publicly denounce them as not listening to him.

What we get when the president talks out of both sides of his.... ass in this case.

It’s a slippery slope. I feel these are tough decisions in any light. I am not sure the governors feel the same pressures as the president of the greatest country in the world. At some point the economy HAS to get in gear. Obviously,at some point this also comes with a loss of life. Rock and a hard place for sure. Maybe Sweden has it right...
