I have a ton of 1.375x1.375 mahogany baluster cut offs if anyone wants some to turn... Decent lengths too. In Marblehead 01945.

This place is dead. Hope to get myself back into some plug building this winter...

Mahogany makes very good needlefish..

Small scraps make good pen blanks

Joe, I will gladly get 2-3 dozen set aside for you, and we can meet up sometime. Have more if you want.... You have been most generous to many on this site, myself very much included.

Nightfighter, I would be interested in whatever you have if you want to ship. I can pay shipping cost.

How many do you think you might want to start with? I could weigh them and get a figure for shipping... I have a milk crate filled with some and that is pretty heavy. But more than happy to find homes for them... I have to walk around the containers in my shop.
Where are you located? Might be better off driving vs paying to ship heavy dense wood...

I am in CT, how much of it do you have? I will take as much as you think you will not use. I don’t mind paying up for shipping. Thanks
Tommy

I have at least 128 pieces. That milk crate holds 64 and is not light. Six pieces weigh in around 3.8 lb. So 64 would be 41 lb Up to you to figure, but it might be even money just purchasing balusters locally..... Your call....

According to the USPS shipping calculator it would be around $30 to ship the milk crate full. I would take it all if you just want to get rid of it all.

Do you know if it is air or kiln dried?

It is mahogany baluster stock, from building deck railings. I can pack up two boxes with 32 in each for you and let you know cost. Send me info.
