what do you all do with spools with braid that is still on them if its not enough to respool
I know with mono .I keep to use for leaders or snell hooks

If the braid is still good, I have done a loop to loop connection and then put another 100yd or so on top if there is room

Try to shove it all on anyway and close out the spool. I tend to lose a fair amount of braid because I often have to cut a lot off on snags.

Carefully cut it into three inch pieces(so as to not injure wildlife) toss it on your front yard. The birds can use it to make bulletproof nests. If you use pink or yellow line they'll be stylin' too.

Ha Stewie, that's funny. Reminds me of when one of our sheep died on the farm in western mass years ago. Buried it in the fall, but only had a bucket loader - so not so deep. Varmints got to it. However, the next spring the birds had the most luxurious, warm, lanolin lined nests. They were everywhere in our wood lot. Very happy birds...
