Hi Guyz, I am heading to n.h. on vaa k. Can anyone recommend a place to surfcast with plugs or live eels ? Thanks Bert

NH is only about 18 miles of coast
Look on google maps or earth for outflows, rocky reefs or both. Easy parking north of Rye harbor to start and there’s plenty of other good spots.
Needles, darters, bucktails and superstrike sinking poppers would be in my bag

Drive Rt.1 first thing in the morning, just above ( north) of Hampton is little boars head, you can park along the road ( if you are early) and fish the cove behind the rocks, also a little farther up in rye, same deal, but be early, coastline is simualr to parts of Rhody, rocky with coves, bass fishing has been very good in that area, also we've been invaded with 5lb class bluefish.. watch the birds..
Just over the boarder(south) in mass is Plum island/ Newburyport, as of now the reservation is closed for plover patrol, it should be opening any day,the beach on PI is open, 5-10lb blues have been very active high and low tide right in front of surfland.. as per this time of year, parking is a problem... you can access the river ( Merrimack) via the end of PI boulevard, I dont know the parking situation there right now, but the area around the captains fishing parties is a good schoolie area, the jetty is a bit of a walk, but there have been(large) fish off the end of it at low tide and the start of the incoming... if all else fails, I know a guy, he's been known to take out member's here... his boat is docked in Newburyport... he'll be fishing (slinging eels) a few nights next week.. most likely middle of the week. PM me for details.

I may not have active here, but I've done a lot of lurking so I've seen/read that Joe does pretty good for himself.
Catching multiple 50lb+ fish is a nice feather to stick in your cap and he's in northeast MA.
Too bad boat fish don't count.:angel::rotf2: (just kidding)

Thank you guyz, I don`t fish from boats anymore. In to surfcasting very hard.It`s a great way to keep busy in retirement. My friend went to Rye last year and caught some schoolies but I will try some spots at night.Thanks for the input everyone !!! Tight lines to all.

Might wanna give 4 tree or Pierce islands a look; good rips there. Bridge areas nearby can sometimes be good. Odiorne might be worth a look, as is the pier across to the north side, but they’re both a fair walk. Can catch macs at Odiorne with a sabiki and live line ‘em. Good luck!

A while ago, that might have been considered spot burning, but these days there isn’t much left to burn. Most of those spots are already well known by all NH shore fishermen any way; merely summarizing public info.
