NWS reported 32 foot seas at Gloucester Buoy. One of the largest ever recorded at that buoy. Just to put it into perspective...the green monster at Fenway is 37' tall.

Yes, pretty wild here on the coast of the North Shore... Power just restored at 10:40am. Have seen photos of at least ten boats washed up. Docks are all pulled apart. Happy to have gotten my boat buttoned up, covered and parked yesterday. Only lost one large limb in back yard. My tree guy is scheduled to be here Monday. Lots of clean up ahead for many of us.

After college, i crewed on two sailing deliveries, one from Ft. Lauderdale to NY and we were in seas very close off Hatteras in a 52 footer, not sure the captain had the weather intel todays captains have. We were standing two man watches for two hours max due to the beating, during a night watch the storm jib broke loose and we clipped in our harnesses after relief came up and went forward to pull in the sail, lets just say if not for being clipped in, plowing through a big breaking wave would have taken us overboard. I don't think I ever experience rain that hurt like a needlew and I don't think I dried out until we docked in NY. True balls adventure, jumped on a flight back to FL and started my next one from Ft. Lauderdale to San Fran. CA.
