i’m 2008, there were 700,000 more registered democrats. Desantis’ children single-handedly overcame that. you figured it out.

...if he or she is going to Florida because he/she was fired or left their job over the vaccine mandate...it's because the rules applied to them...they had a choice, made the choice that they felt was best for them...you seem to have a sick and twisted desire to force them to get injected with something they don't want to be injected with....I hope they flourish in Florida

Florida has pretty much been wide open for business (more than any other state) yet they have the lowest number of cases of this manufactured Covid crisis 🤔

Florida has had some really, really terrible months. their total death rate since the beginning, is around tenth? but you need to consider that they have one of the highest elderly populations if any state, so you need to be careful just comparing state to state.
But huge numbers of people are moving there, which means they’re doing something right. Liberals like to say people are only moving there because if the weather, and i always ask “why are t people
moving to southern California which also has nice weather”, and i’ve never gotten a response. they pretend they didn’t hear the question.

FYI avg home in Florida $297,390 Oklahoma $150,754 West Virginia $117,768 Arkansas $149,120 funny I dont see people running to these states with that are affordable and have the same no masks no vac mandates stuff
here is my source

California, New York, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Washington, and Colorado may have lost more residents than other states, but they also gained more new residents than other states. North Carolina, Arizona, and Georgia also had an influx of new residents.
I call that a wash
Nearly half of our survey respondents said their move resulted from income loss and the need for affordable housing. And over a third of respondents said their move was related to COVID-19, either from concerns related to health, work, housing, or money.

the death rate is around tenth. in a state with a massive percentage of elderly, and a state that didn’t crush its citizenry, that’s good.

it’s not just home prices. taxes are a huge part of what makes a place affordable or not.
florida, TN, SC, NH are places with super super low taxes, yet which also offer places with a good quality of living. obviously, you don’t always get what you pay for. people
are realizing this in huge numbers.

you’re right, there’s no migration from blue to red. the census is biased.

You said Republican registrations are increasing because of the recent Gov policies. That is impossible to derive from those numbers alone. Florida was a magnet for retirees long before he was elected. Baby boomers are retiring at a huge rate and retirees are more often Republican.
Please, have your HR department fax me an employment verification request form.
wdmso 11-07-2021, 04:45 PM https://www.jchs.harvard.edu/blog/who-is-moving-and-why-seven-questions-about-residential-mobility
2. WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON TYPE OF MOVE?
Most moves are local, either within the same county or within the same state. Within-county moves accounted for 65 percent of all moves in 2019, while moves between counties in the same state accounted for 17 percent, according to Current Population Survey (CPS) data. 14 percent of moves were across state lines in 2019 and moves from outside the country only accounted for 4 percent of all moves (Figure 1).
HOW MIGHT THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AFFECT MOBILITY?
Since the COVID-19 pandemic is still unfolding, it is difficult to assess its possible impacts on mobility. It could be that mobility is going to spike after the quarantines end and people move to cheaper housing (if available) after losing income from a job loss. Mobility could also spike as a result of evictions or foreclosures if substantial payment assistance is not provided before the temporary bans on evictions and foreclosures end. It could also be that mobility will decline further as people become less likely to buy or sell homes, especially during the quarantines but also afterwards due to higher economic uncertainty. Working from home is likely at record high levels right now, and if even a small portion of this shift proves to be permanent, it could mean fewer people moving for job-related reasons as well.
