Took a 14x9 piece of poplar to experiment with a new power chisel to get the outline done, finished off with dremel tools and Makita grinder with aggressive wheel. Just finished off painting and since the only other painting I've done involved, walls, trim and siding; I'm happy with the outcome. Plan to seal the painting with probably some spray varnish, sand the paint on the perimeter and stain the wood to finish it off. Since I have no grandkids at an age to appreciate, I'll probably put it up on the marketplace on Yahoo. Took a lot more time than some of my chainsaw carvings, but I really don't know how I'm going to price this yet.

Finished up Mickey its available if you have a small child who is a disney fan, it's polar 14x9". The welcome plank carving is almost ready, once the green sets, I will be adding some snow on some of the branches and it too will be ready after a couple coats of sealer. I'm pretty happy with that one, it's 3" thick about 24" wide and 4 foot tall, PM me if interested.
