Trickle Charger OR Battery Tender

I've read some positive comments on the "Tender" ?
Looking for Pros vs. Cons?

My wife and I have had multiple vehicles for quite a while now. At one point my 02 Dakota was getting very little drive time. After the battery died a few times the guy at the local Napa recommended a small solar panel tender. Wired directly to battery and left solar panel on the dash. Never had a dead battery in that truck again. Loved it

charge to full, shut off, leave in boat. So far so good. I'll top off in the spring before launch, but there still almost full.

Same as JFig. Just an hour or two on Battery Tender and they are topped off. But I don't sit waiting for the light to turn, so they may be hooked up for a few days or weeks... The cars in the snowbird homes I look after during winter all have battery tenders hooked up all winter. Can't overcharge them, so they say.

I have 4 batteries on board, all stay there for the winter, pugged into an onboard Pro Mariner smart charger..I do the same with My 4 wheeler that only sees action during hunting and ice fishing season.

I have the same batteries in the boat since 2014 never taken out have a charger in the boat . But only use in the summertime before a trip to be safe

I’d say you got the better end of that deal

I’d think about renewing those

Unless of course you have a load tester and they show good but 8 years is impressive
