You still think this poll is about political party it’s INFLATION, GAS PRICES TOP FAMILY CONCERNS

majority of 57% say that the actions of the federal government over the past six months have hurt their family

But not one of that 57% could name a policy or action the federal government took or didn’t take .. they think the government controls prices of gas and food , America’s are spoiled and need instant fixes while having short historical memories .

What bills have either party passed since this inflation started ? NONE

oh i know what it’s about. And i know which party controls the entire federal government at the moment.

how do you know that not one person can name a single thing Biden did that caused harm? Please tell me what you’re basing that lunacy on?

People know Biden said he was going to end fossil fuels, people
know he pumped trillions into the economy in the middle of a supply crunch ( all but guaranteeing inflation), people
know he said inflation was transitory, people
know he’s lying through his dentures when he says Putin caused it all, people know that democrats demonize police and victimize criminals, people know the liberals want a catastrophic open border ( unless 51% of hispanics somehow vote red, in which case the democrats will change their tune quickly on illegal immigration).

People were clearly willing to put up with all that in order to flush Trump down the toilet. Unfortunately for democrats, despite the January 6 hearings, Trump isn’t on the ballot in november. It’s going to be a referendum on how life has changed since we gave the democrats the keys to our federal government. It’s been one complete disaster after another since the Afghanistan exit.

On top of al that, the economy is acting very sick. we could be in a serious recession in november, which would almost be an extinction event for the left in congress, at least in the house.

The overturning of Roe will help a little. Likely not a big help.

Let’s see
Border Crisis
Texans cross the southern border in droves for basic healthcare needs. THAT is the emergency at the border.

It’s not Brazilian butt-lifts, it’s basic healthcare…dental, vision, internists, and pharmacy.

“Americans forced to seek healthcare in foreign country” is the headline.

And there's another southern border emergency - women who are seeking abortions are heading to Mexico, too.

you don’t get it. It’s GOOD for the GOP if trump gets in trouble and can’t run again. The democrats have shown they can beat Trump ( before we knew how incompetent and senile biden is). The GOP will have a better chance in 2024 without Trump. Going after Trump, helps the GOP, it doesn’t hurt the GOP. It clears the way for Desantis.

Remember Roe v Wade was in no danger

Abortion should be safe, legal, and rare—what worries me is Republicans are now coming to take away birth control, too.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said he is willing to help Texas overturn gay marriage and uphold sodomy laws at the Supreme Court based on Clarence Thomas’ concurrence.

BOTH FLORIDA U.S. SENATORS Rick Scott & Marco Rubio have gone on record saying they want to cut Social Security.

FLORIDA's Governor DeSantis vetoed $2 million meant to help low-income people access long-acting birth control—which had been sent to his desk with bipartisan support.

Mississippi Governor Reeves would not say whether he would sign legislation banning birth control.

Clarence Thomas’s concurrence in Dobbs explicitly called for reconsidering a host of other legal protections, from birth control (Griswold), same-sex sexual relations (Lawrence), and same-sex marriage (Obergefell). Marginalized communities will be targeted. It will not stop here.

Yes, i said many times I’d never live to see Roe overturned. I was speculating, as we all do, and i got that vine spectacularly wrong, as we all sometimes so ( not you though, your predictions are 100% accurate.)

What are you expecting in november? That the democrats gain house seats?

Why should abortion be rare? That’s stupid. The only way to justify abortion is to believe that the unborn is an ina image object, in which case abortion is no more of a moral dilemma than removing a mole. A million times a year isn’t rare.

here ya go Pete, governors approval ratings ( not sure when this was done.)

Desantis approval is 58%, Newsom is 42%.

Keep in mind, that CA is a much bluer state than FL is red. Not even close.

Explain that, please. Why is Desantis doing better in a purple state than Newsom is in a deep blue state?

New NavigatorSurvey polling finds a 24 pt drop in GOP favorability with independents, and 10 pts overall.

This is a very significant shift in a short period of time, and more confirming data that the natl landscape is becoming far better for Dems.
72% of Democrats more likely to vote now. Big number! Other polls now have Dem vote intensity higher than Rs.

This is not a typical midterm. The anti-MAGA majority which voted in record numbers in the last two elections is getting ready to do it again this time.
Lots of data now showing a new, bluer 2022 election.

In 9 polls of the Congressional Generic since Row Dems hold a 1.7 pt lead, a shift of 4-5 pts for Ds. It's a big deal.

63% support a national law to protect a women's right to an abortion. It's +30 with indies. This is another big number.

on abortion, you keep talking about what people want. And i agree they want it. But do you understand that SCOTUS isn’t supposed to care about what people want? It’s suooosed to be based in the constitition, not on public opinion polls.

Take a 6th grade civics class.

The day will come when the GoP has the white house and congress again. When that day comes, do you want them to be able to do everything they want to do? Or do you want them to be limited by what the constitution says they can do?

yeah i’m sure that’s what their beef is. Lord knows there’s nothing else to disagree with. You see any polling to suggest that’s what people are stressed about right now?

If enough people want to change it, fortunately for them there’s a mechanism to change the constitution.

Pete, Charlie Crist is my very, very favorite kind of politician (sarcasm).

He was a republican governor of FL.

He ran for the US Senate as a republican, was defeated in the primary by Marco Rubio. Team player that Crist is, he then ran for Senate as an independent, Rubio still miraculously won.

So Crist changed parties, ran for governor again as a democrat, was defeated by Rick Scott.

So he found a blue house district, ran there for House Of Reps, and finally won something.

Crist is an absolute, shape-shifting, unprincipled reptile. His only principle is his conviction that he must have control over the people of FL.

Doesn't mean he can't win, but he's a lizard.

Yes I will cheer. But most of it is because of the economy opening up after covid.

Unemployment was 3.5% - better than 3.6% - in January and February of 2020, until we shut the economy down.

I have said that whoever won the election in 2020 was going to be dealing with gas price hikes and inflation no matter what they did. It' snot all Bidens fault.

By the same token, whoever was elected in 2020 was going to see unemployment drop like a stone as the economy opened back up.

To the extent that gas price increases are caused by covid waning, that's not Bidens fault. To the extent that unemployment decrease is caused by covid waning, that's similarly Biden's doing.

You want it both ways. You want credit for everything that gets better, and zero blame for everything that gets worse. Biden didn't create these jobs, as much as they were recovered from shutting down the country. Him saying that he created these jobs, is the rooster taking credit for the sunrise. He was just there when it happened, he didn't cause it to happen.

Trump got black unemployment down to 5.4% - better than 5.8%.

Pete, you're comparing Bidens post-covid unemployment to what unemployment was when Trump was still dealing with covid.

NO ONE buys that. Nobody. Give it a rest.

Not only were more of us working under Trump, our paychecks were worth $400 more a month for an average family, thanks to inflation.

Oh, you so so deserve what's coming.

And D's are richer than R's, that may have something to do with it?

You guys really think EVERYTHING is a function of how much money the government spends. The choices that people make, have nothing to do with it.

Do rich liberals in FL, have a shorter life expectancy than rich liberals living in CT, because CT spends more money? Do you really think that?

When a blue state has a good statistic, it's because of the state. WHen a blue state has an ugly statistic, you keep taking different snapshots of different levels, until you find the result that tells the story.

And without fail, 100% of the time, the story is liberal=good, conservative=bad.

Paul, why do so many New Yorkers winter in FL, instead of doing it in southern CA? Is it possibly because they know they aren’t negatively impacted by the fact that the state of FL spends less money?

I would bet that the average life expectancy of a rich liberal in CT is prob. the same as one in FL and that the average life expectancy of a rich conserv. in CT is prob. the same as one in FL.

Look at life expectancy by state and you can easily pick out the reddest states

I would bet that the average life expectancy of a rich liberal in CT is prob. the same as one in FL and that the average life expectancy of a rich conserv. in CT is prob. the same as one in FL. However, I would bet that the average life expectancy of a poor liberal in CT is prob. higher than one in FL and that the average life expectancy of a poor conserv. in CT is prob. higher than one in FL

Why aren't the poor people all flocking from FL to CT? There's gotta be a reason. If liberal states hold the fountain of youth, why are people fleeing?

so everyone who moves from new england to FL, is likely a bigot? Or just the poor people
who are in FL?

Your jerks never, ever get tired of playing that card, do you? which side want to abort blacks out of existence, and which side wants more black babies being born? remind me?

It wasn’t that long ago that the GOP was the party of the wealthy, and all the liberals criticized the GOP for
only caring about the 1%. then overnight the multimillionaires all became democrats, and by a stunning coincidence,,now its a GOOD thing to be the party of the swells, and the poor unwashed are held in contempt

People in flyover country are well aware of your disdain for them. They get to voice their opinion on that score in november. You might wish you didn’t dump on them
the way you do, but probably not, as liberals are incapable of learning from empirical results.

how about the “retards” you hate? they’re probably all in red states too, since they’re also aborted out of existence by the loving, tolerant, evolved, superior left.

Yes I used the word retard once well over 2 years ago to make fun of the people who supported Trump and had no problem with him mocking a handicapped person and tried to talk it away by saying he had done it to a non handicapped people so it's okay. I had no idea you had a special need child but I should have guessed because you said at one point that you supported more funding for Special Olympics when I pointed out that Trump had tried lowering funding. I should have realized you're a typical Republican who the only time has compassion for anyone less fortunate than themselves is when it effects them whether it's Special Olympics , homosexuality or abortion, Etc.

So you use the word imbecile here. If someone called your son an imbecile I guess you would have no problem with it.

it’s not just that trump
said he’d done it to non handicapped people. It’s in video. That video has been posted here when this topic comes up. He has irrefutably used that gesture many times in the past to mock non handicapped people
who have disagreed with him.

Why are you claiming it’s just trump saying he did that?

Imbecile isn’t a term associated with people with Downs.

Don’t take my word for it. Go to a special olympics event, tell
all the dads that you use the word “retard” to describe Trump
supporters. Report back the response you get. You’re acting like it’s just me who hates that word.

You’re in a very very small slice of the population who think that word is ok. You still just can’t admit it was mistake to use that word. like you can’t admit that your side is doing a poor job running the country. Everything is someone else’s fault.

Everyone else is wrong, and you’re right. Must be nice to be that much smarter than everyone else.

So go ahead and tell me the other side of the holocaust.
Then you can tell me how it wasn’t slavery, but involuntary relocation.

Just to get this straight, republicans think it's important to teach the Nazi perspective of the Holocaust, but not the Black man's perspective of slavery.

Why do they always take the side of the oppressor and choose to do the wrong thing when the right thing is so obvious?

Remember that because something *can* happen does not necessarily mean it *does* happen a lot. Possible and probable are not the same thing and it is important to remember that, especially when thinking about risk.

Polls show that Democrats are now more highly motivated to vote in November than Republicans. Polls also show key Senate races, and the generic midterm ballot, shifting in the Democrats' direction.

Commenting briefly on the Committee's 8-hour interview with Pat Cipollone, Rep. Zoe Lofgren said these 5 simple words: "We learned a lot today."

Inflation jumped again in June on a persistent climb in gas, food and rent costs, notching another 40-year high and likely solidifying the Federal Reserve’s plans for another big rate hike this month.

Prices increased 9.1% from a year earlier, up from an annual rate of 8.6% the prior month and the largest gain since November 1981.
