View Full Version : Weekend Plans JohnR 07-15-2022, 06:22 AM Weekend of yard work and work work . So what's up for the weekend? Rockfish9 07-15-2022, 06:30 AM Bugs and bass in the AM tomorrow, the garden needs to be weeded, and tomatoes tied up, weather and fishing has been good, the garden has been ignored.I've got to bottle a black IPA and transfer one to the secondary...that can wait until Sunday..If my new pot hauler shows up, I'll install that on the boat instead.. Guppy 07-15-2022, 01:12 PM Waiting for the new lower unit to show up , install, break in, check for bugs.. nightfighter 07-15-2022, 04:34 PM Going bass fishing and am looking around the shop to see if I have anything I can possibly put a Penn 950 on in case I see footballs... Raider Ronnie 07-15-2022, 06:56 PM 12 years ago our 8 year old Boxer died unexpectedly & it devastated us. A week later a member here (Luds) contacted me asking us to adopt his 6 month old white boxer Dakota. He had 2 boxers and starting a family. 2 boxers and a baby on the way was too much for them. We adopted Dakota she’s been part of our family for the last 12 years & has been a great dog. A lump started growing on her neck about 6 months ago, is now the size or a baseball, maybe a bit larger & cancer is all through her body. Sometime over the next few days we will have to put her down. I’m praying she goes peacefully in her sleep 😢 Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device beamie 07-15-2022, 08:13 PM That’s sucks Ronnie Give her plenty of scratches and dog treats Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Guppy 07-16-2022, 05:02 AM Sorry Ron….. nightfighter 07-16-2022, 06:56 AM Sorry Ron. But such great memories with Dakota I am sure... Truly one of the most difficult of life's experiences. Luds, if you do check in anymore.... :fishslap: Hi! Bailed out on the morning fishing. Have had the two most physical days of work back to back since March of 2019. Body said no. A minus 1.5 tide at 0754 was my justification. Going to take some midweek days this week. wdmso 07-16-2022, 08:02 AM Ron sorry for the loss i understand that feeling my family had to do the same to our 13 year old greater Swiss mountain dog, here hips were gone…. It’s a horrible choice to make , even if it the best choice Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device piemma 07-16-2022, 09:19 AM Sorry Ron. Pets are family and it hurts just as much when they cross the Rainbow Bridge. Thoughts and Prayers from Jeanne and I. Hookedagain 07-16-2022, 04:06 PM Camping, fishing, kayaking, and working. MAKAI 07-17-2022, 08:30 AM I know all too well what you’re going through Ron. Amazing how deeply attached we get to them. It’s a unique bond for sure. afterhours 07-17-2022, 12:53 PM Sorry to hear this Ronnie, it really sucks. We had to put down our 15 yo Lab mix a few months ago, still hurts. We're just starting to think about another dog - life is waayyy better with dogs in the house. Rockfish9 07-17-2022, 03:44 PM 12 years ago our 8 year old Boxer died unexpectedly & it devastated us.
