Seems it was pretty bad! Anyone have 1st hand information?

Island was without power and water, lots of mainland mutual aid. Big fire.

I was out there that night on my boat in the great salt pond. It was very windy and I couldn’t sleep and kept hearing planes coming and going from 1 to 3 am and assumed something bad was happening. They ran 2 emergency ferries over at 1 am with 2 ladder trucks as a precaution which I think was a godsend because no other buildings were damaged. The harborside hotel where the fire was is a total loss. No injuries that I know of. The day after the fire the ferries were not allowing day trippers to come over but all is back to normal now.
