It seems like yesterday, the wound has not (nor will it ever) heal.

Thank you Zimmy. I was supposed to be there that day. Chief Compliance Officer ok'd to start a project so I and 5 others canceled our class there (one other did not and was lost). I fished Quonnie that evening and could see the glow of the fires from there. Eeerie, and no planes in the air either.

Similar weatherwise to today. I was working in White Plains, New York and one of my co-worker's husband was a New York City fireman who by 10 o'clock was sent downtown to help. Good friend's brother died and I knew about 5-6 people who were able to get out safely.

I watched the second plane hit the south tower from the Belt Parkway in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. I can still relive almost every minute of that day in my head.

I was home sick that day, had my newborn on my shoulder when the second plane hit,

Cannot and will not forget.

So many years ago and still feels like it were yesterday. The fire service will never be the same. I had an aunt in tower 2, and several friends that were in and around tower 1. It still hurts and always will.
