Got a big crowd coming for Thanksgiving so I am prepping wood for the firepit, all the food, putting up outside Xmas lights and just getting the place ready.

Finished roofing repairs ahead of the rain. Drinking some home brew and listening to Heavy Dub. Wife went to her book club, so more beers and the Dub is at 11.

*Cleaning my neighbors leaves out of my gutters
*Finish stacking firewood
*Try to catch a couple more fish (regardless of size... Super low expectations at this point)

We use to get fish thru Thanksgiving. Last place was the pocket at Watch Hill from the beach side. We always got fish but nothing over 20".

Man some of the best fishing this time of year my buddy Drew and I had up inside and Clammer knows where, boy we would catch until it we just got tired. Not just rats either, always some 10-20 lbers wintered over up inside, but they were full of fight until the water dropped below 50 degrees. Then come the first warming trend in the spring it was crazy easy fishing. Spot is off limits now from what I understand.

I remember fishing the Fire District early December cathing giant blues and bass up to 20+ #'s mid morning, granted that was 10 yrs ago or more. The gannets were working hard on b/back herring, I haven't seen a gannet all fall are there no more bait for them to follow?

Tog trip Sunday.
