Somebody came across the Rainbow Bridge from
Canada and crashed then blew up. All the news outlets have significantly varying info right now.

Reuters is where I usually go for news, from this side of the Pond. Their "sources familiar with the matter" are now saying that it was caused by reckless driving. That was as of 10:41 PM my time.

The things that everyone agrees on are that there were 2 people in the car and both are dead, and the border guard in the booth at the checkpoint suffered injuries that were non-life threatening. Also, that in addition to the Rainbow Bridge, three other crossings are closed, and Buffalo's airport is also closed.

A guy and his wife in their Bentley over 100 approaching the Customs check point. Airborne after losing control and hitting a curb and guardrail. Parts covered the entire checkpoint and a very big gasoline fire as well. Likely had a few at the casino before heading to Canada.

I did laugh that more than a few conservatives, who claimed immediately it was a terrorist attacking . I bet they are extremely disappointed that it was just an accident.

Wife had been nagging him to pull over and get directions for an hour, he finally snapped and hit the gas to end his misery.

Seemed like all the networks (conservative and not) jumped on the terror event bandwagon at first. Eye witness on Fox Live was the first one to state the car was going towards Canada and not into the US, but that was pretty much ignored by the talking heads all around.

All because the dude couldn’t see the KiSS concert that was canceled 😂

I am in the mechanical failure camp. Well known, well thought of, wealthy couple. Used Bentleys like that still command 200K price tag. Has a monster power plant.
