Anything to help the bass is good in my book. Nebe 02-16-2024, 08:29 AM Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device nightfighter 02-16-2024, 09:03 AM Great to see! Hopefully we see states following suit coastwide. piemma 02-16-2024, 09:43 AM Finally someone is paying attention. Got Stripers 02-16-2024, 09:51 AM Good move, I won’t see the results in my lifetime, but if history tells us anything; we constantly make the same bad decisions after any rebound. JohnR 02-16-2024, 10:27 AM It's a start hq2 02-16-2024, 06:33 PM Shows you how bad the spawning situation has become. They need to specifically protect it. But I think we’ll be in another moratorium in a few years; as always they’re a step behind the situation. PaulS 02-17-2024, 10:47 AM I could be wrong but I think the spawning areas there were always (recently??) closed for about 30 45 days. I think this just adds additional areas to the closed areas. It is what they should do to Raritan bay in NJ shortly prior and during the spawning season on the Hudson. There are some of the biggest fattest fish you will find loaded with eggs. You catch them and they loose their eggs. I don't know if the ones losing their eggs would have spawned but it can't be good for fish loaded w/eggs to have to fight like that shortly before spawning. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
