Hey Katie , what's with the Hippies Stink thing? Some of the nicest people I ever met were hippies. No Joke there. Like people in any other group you might stereotype there are some good and bad.

You might be surprised at how many of the older people here were hippies or close to it in their younger days!! :) I'm gonna guess that if this was 1969 and you were a teenager , you'd think the hippies were pretty cool.

You are so right, Chris L. Some of my fondest high school memories include a chick who couldn't have been more gentle or caring and wore ratty old (however I found them sexy) overalls embroidered with symbols and flowers, halter tops and sandals. Damn I miss her! And the times.

We weren't exactly denizens of things herbaceous or cactaceous, but give us a blanket on Callahan's or Mackamaw Beach at sunset (Fishweewee, MikeP, maybe a few others might have heard of these places), a bottle of Boone's Farm and/or Annie Green Springs and we were happy just diggin' each other and groovin' to the scene man. I may be back there right now in my mind, I'm not sure yet. (That's back when Imus In The Morning was on WABC).

Schmidts was popular, but anyone who was anyone brought Miller bottles to a party.

yep use to shoot miller genuines . it was the " high life " . boones farm was top notch stuff . I liked the colors of everything. I could hear them better and see sounds better back then .

The 60's when there was still a parking lot and a bathhouse at coast guard beach and there was a food stand at Nauset Beach the Whiting family ran and if they liked you they would let you charge food even though you were a little beach bum kid.
