View Full Version : Weekend Plans
JohnR 10-04-2024, 06:42 AM Helping out a client, remotely, in western North Carolina. Have helped get access to remote Internet and maybe doing some other remote projects to help them out. And I suppose I need to cut my grass.
So what's up for the weekend?
piemma 10-04-2024, 09:10 AM RECOVERY
fishgolf 10-04-2024, 10:04 AM Playing golf with my son this afternoon and fishing overnight and morning (theoretically), still lots of weed in the water around here.
nightfighter 10-05-2024, 07:09 PM Hauling the boat Sunday 1300. So will be a busy afternoon washing and unloading. Get winterized Tuesday and cover her up and backed her into winter space here.
I usually stay in the water to fish Columbus Day, but decided to move up my carpal tunnel surgery by two weeks, which will now be on the 15th... So have to move up the haul out date to get it put to bed properly. With one and a half hands....
Paul Iemma, throttle it back, my friend. Heal up. Not sure exactly what you are going through but give yourself some time.....
JohnR 10-06-2024, 09:52 AM Heard from my guy in Asheville - first batch of ten Starlinks in and beginning to be installed

Ouch
nightfighter 10-06-2024, 03:59 PM John, it isn't pain as much as it is really a numbness that renders the hand useless doing a lot of the things I need to do every day for work. Plus, it wakes me up anytime from 3am to 5am. Just want it over with. I am told two week recovery....
Nice day for a boat ride to the ramp, as well as emptying and washing. Here the sun got the washed interior steaming....
Hookedagain 10-06-2024, 06:40 PM Friday I set up my Starlink, works amazing. Saturday I put in a half day on the job site the had plans to meet up with 2 other couples for dinner. 20 minutes before we leave the wife gets a call her mom is in the hospital...IN NEW HAMPSHIRE! She went on a bus trip with the church, started feeling nauseous, began to vomit blood. Taken by ambulance to a hospital in Laconia. No surgical team there so she was transferred to Concord NH. Currently on a vent and will be there for 2 weeks. Hoping to remove tubes tomorrow as she is starting to breathe on her own. Long night...left home at 9, brought my wife up there and still made it to work by 7 this morning. Its going to be an interesting week or two.

getting better guys. Internal bleeding has stopped and breathing is normal. Knocking on heaven's door Friday but back again. Don't know how many lives I have left as I've used up quite a few since June.

It been slow. She had a Gastric bleed, vomited 5 liters of blood total (over 2 days). Gastric band installed then her ammonia level more than tripled due to the cancer in her liver. That has since been taken care of and now we try to stablize her for the transport back to Somerset. She will be going into a facility for a while before she is able to go home.
