Ive never heard of a veteran that approves of disrespecting "our" country....until now, I know plenty of combat veterans who would feel differently. Like my Portuguese immigrant FIL who flew 27 bombing missions in Asia, He lived with me until he passed on and I m certain I can speak for him as well as the majority of veterans. He is entitled to his opinion as am I. Thanks for the heads up...or warning. He and the others who agree that Trump is hitler....will make himself dictator, cancel all future election....destroy our constitution etc.......should exercise their rights and protest today.....but its cold out so...... let someone else do it for them while they talk resistance behind their keyboards. Learned on the ponds and bogs and later the rink on a mens league. Right now ice conditions on ponds and bogs is perfect for skating....have not seen a single youth or group of kids on any of them. We have the softest generation of kids the world has ever seen......they have iphones and computers but no ice skates. I miss the days where large groups would be out there with three different games going on. Guys who couldnt skate well played goalie and with ferocious intensity. Goal was two boots set a variable and changing distance apart and shots had to be on the ice. Spent all day sometimes.

We had fires in the evening right on the ice.
Sometimed we would skate around in the full moon passing a puck around.
In the city I knew of three out door skating locations with warming houses with big inside fireplaces going....you walked around inside the building with your skates on

I know it bugs the hell out of most people to be watched but I’d rather they do things the way I want the first time, even if it costs a little more or adds a little extra time as they’re trying to get to the next job.

Even an elite craftsman like yourself (maybe super wicked elite?) makes mistakes or cuts corners (ha!) towards the end of a job. The guys who did all my Azek last fall were really, really good but still made a few design decisions I wish I was consulted on first. Most people might not care but I consider them mistakes too expensive to fix that I now have to live with.

Worked both my sons hard yesterday......nephew invited me to go ice drinking fishing today. I opted to go for an early morning skate alone on the small pond behind me...just got back. It was glorious ....i feel rejuvenated. My feet hurt from skates that havent been worn in years.....no falls.
