But that boat was like 65 k 4 years ago I got some of my own sticker shock. Went to have these 3 cushions simplest re covered possible no logo plain white. Everything underneath is good. And was quoted. 500.00 bucks. I was like ok sounds good.. for 3 cushions…. They’re not big. Then the person said he ment 500.00. Per cushions .. and now I am thinking some white duck tape. To get me tru until next year. Pete F. 02-17-2025, 09:43 AM That price is wacko The material is $30 a yard Didn’t someone on here diy a couple years ago? You’ve got the patterns https://www.sailrite.com/shop/fabric/indoor-fabric?facet_marine_uses=Exterior+Cushions&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA2cu9BhBhEiwAft6IxHqm5ffMIjiPIJGpJ2lr RbBu2w0PBBWcGya5KrQjZfxkP4P9QKhCcxoCXf8QAvD_BwE Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device bloocrab 02-17-2025, 10:44 AM Outrageous pricing for sure...I'm going to be restoring mine as well within the next few weeks or so I went the sailrite route after comparing it to many other products...couldn't really find much competitiion with a 50mil thickness, ...I also liked how it came on a roll as opposed to being folded (I read reviews from similar products and short length-orders would come folded :hs: ) . I only needed 2 yards, and it still came nicely wrapped around a roll This (https://www.sailrite.com/EverSoft-Indoor-Outdoor-White-54-Vinyl-Fabric) is the fabric I'm trying - shipping was quick! My panels were also cracked so I'll be replacing those as well... I priced out a 3/8"x4x8 sheet of pvc (@Lowes=$98 :hs: ), due to the length of my panels, I need an 8' foot length, ....decided to go with this (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Reversible-Wall-Kit-7-313-in-8-ft-White-Shiplap-Wall-Plank-Coverage-Area-15-sq-ft/5013467579) instead for $23...has the thickness and length I need at a fraction of the cost, pvc/water-proof...it's worth a shot, and there's 3 in the package, so I can afford a mistake...:heybaby: I already stripped my old ones, probably the worst part...removing all those small staples...tedious, but not hard. I'm going to use my old panels as a template, trace and cut. Like Pete said, which I think is very important for a first-timer like me, when I removed the former fabric, I was careful to keep it as much intact as possible. This will help with templating the replacement as well as how to fold where/when necessary to minimize build up or wrinkles at the corners. I also watched some DIY vids, which seem helpful...heat-gun to soften fabric at corners etc... I'm actually looking forward to this project. Joe Rut has a nice example ... After finding some at the NProvidence HomeDepot, I also saw some at Hobby Lobby this past weekend...Going to wrap mine in plastic before wrapping them with vinyl...(Somerset HD doesn't carry this anymore, and nor does Lowe's) And don't forget you're SS staples (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Arrow-T50-1-2-in-Stainless-Steel-Staples-1-000-Pack-508SS1/203030843)!!! Good Luck Wayne! Disclaimer: My new panels will not have any embroidery, nor be as fancy as my former panels, but I haven't won prettiest boat at the boat show in like......ever. spence 02-17-2025, 11:15 AM Maybe a little high but unless you had the exact patterns with the contrast piping and contoured foam I could see it being a lot of labor and quality foam is pretty expensive. Hell, even a regular custom Sunbrella deep seating cushion set is 300+ these days and those are rectangles. Nebe 02-17-2025, 11:49 AM Its called “Late Stage Capitalism”.
