Pete F. 03-01-2025, 09:28 AM I'd love to see a rundown of which Republican senators supported Ukraine in the morning and were bleating "America First" by the evening
Their hypocrisy is disgusting but the speed is whiplash-inducing.
wdmso 03-01-2025, 10:57 AM its a pattern. now Since his mass deportation plan is crashing into reality he moves to shift the blame. its not his fault. it venezuela
US President Donald Trump says he will revoke a licence which allowed Venezuela to export some of its oil to the US despite sanctions.
The move is a major blow to the Venezuelan government as the licence provided it, through joint ventures between the state-run oil company and US oil giant Chevron, with a crucial income in dollars.
Trump said he was revoking the licence - which gave Chevron permission to operate in Venezuela - because the government of Nicolás Maduro had failed to meet "electoral conditions" and had not transported "violent criminals" deported from the US at a quick enough pace.

Probably put Lindsay at the top of that list.
Imaging what John McCain would be saying if he were still alive.

Pete F. 03-01-2025, 11:53 AM It's more than a little bizarre that the press was more vocal and judgmental about Biden's Afghanistan withdrawal than the current unscheduled rapid disassembly of our entire democracy, civil service and alliances.

Pete F. 03-01-2025, 12:00 PM If you watched the Oval Office horror show you might have noticed that Rubio sank so far into that couch, that I was honestly afraid JD Vance might #^&#^&#^&#^& him.

It’s all part of the message imbalance the media has enabled. They are so paranoid of republicans screaming bias Trump gets covered like he’s a half honest player.
It’s why when Harris would wear the same pantsuit two times in a week the media would question if she had the mental fitness to serve. Trump could rewrite history and it was covered like a harmless alternate viewpoint.

wdmso 03-01-2025, 01:47 PM The rocky journey to finding peace in Ukraine continues. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has invited European leaders to London tomorrow ahead of a summit in Paris on 6 March.
Leaders from France, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Turkey, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Romania have all been invited - as well as the presidents of the European Council, European Commission and Nato Secretary General.
He'll meet for talks with President Zelensky and Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni before Sunday's summit aimed at securing “lasting and enforced” peace in Ukraine.
this is how to get peace. letting Putin know there is no daylight between them . in a commitment to end the war
wdmso 03-01-2025, 01:57 PM Pentagon orders up to 3,000 troops and Stryker combat vehicles to border
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth approved orders on Friday to further militarize the U.S. southern border with Mexico, officials said.
nothing screams weakness than combat troops and armored vehicles on on or southern border to prevent Men Women and children with backpacks.
So Trumps wall isn't working ? more slight of hand
wdmso 03-01-2025, 02:11 PM https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/03/01/ukraine-foreign-fighters-marines-hertweck/
Ukraine honors foreign fighters, Americans, as nation’s future on the brink
A U.S. family traveled to Kyiv to bring home their Marine son who fell in battle near Avdiivka as Trump and Zelensky met over Ukraine’s future at the White House.
Pete F. 03-01-2025, 02:15 PM FFOTUS’ false claim that we have given Ukraine $350B is roughly double and the further claim that we are now owed that is absurd but begs the question, when is Israel going to pay us back?
Does he think that Gaza would be repayment?
Perhaps Ukraine could give us the Kursk Oblast.

Same holds for Egypt, hell most of Africa really. Also the EU who has screwed us ofer on trade since WWII, that’s got to be worth 10 trillion right there. Didn’t we rebuild Germany and Japan?
I didn’t even know all these debts were hanging out there. See we didn’t need a leader, we needed a repo man.
wdmso 03-01-2025, 07:05 PM Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered U.S. Cyber Command to pause cyber and information operations against Russia as Trump seeks to bring Putin to the negotiating table to end war in Ukraine.
Why would Putin negotiate. Trump is giving away the house
Pete F. 03-01-2025, 07:13 PM A little story
In September 1978, President Carter brought Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin together at Camp David. The two nations had engaged in multiple military conflicts in the preceding decades, including the Yom Kippur War and the Six-Day War. This violence destabilized the region and caused innumerable humanitarian tragedies.
Carter understood that both men would arrive at the talks with a sense of fear and mistrust.
This meant they would seek to bolster themselves with bravado in order to project strength.
Allowing that conduct to fester would only lead to a tit-for-tat negotiation, wherein both sides refused to make concessions.
Carter chose to diffuse this behavior by humbling himself. He was confident enough in his role that, for example, he would allow them to hold doors open for him to enter-an act considered effeminate in their cultures. He even rode between the two men in the back seat of a long car ride to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where he described the horrors and losses of the American Civil War.
After twelve days of tense negotiations, Sadat and Begin had finally reached an impasse over settlements on the Sinai Peninsula. Begin was about to walk away from the table, his bags already packed. Earlier in the week, however, the three men had taken a photo together. Prime Minister Begin requested a signed copy as a gift for his grandchildren before leaving.
Carter presented Begin with eight signed copies of the photo, each individually addressed to his grandchildren by name with the words "with love." Begin was moved by the gift, but Carter went on to explain that he had hoped to write, "This is when your grandfather and I brought peace to the Middle East." At that moment, Begin began to cry-along with Carter. Carter's work over the previous days finally came to fruition when the three men were able to bring their humanity, not their egos, to the negotiation table. The Camp David Accords were agreed upon the next day.
Sadat and Begin, but not Carter, shared the 1978 Nobel Peace Prize.

Yeah and Carter sold his peanut farm so he would have zero conflict of interest as president… and his goal wasnt to crash the economy so his cronies can buy up all the foreclosures…..

Pete F. 03-01-2025, 08:21 PM During FFOTUS’ meeting with Zelensky on Friday, he referred to deals that he had done with Putin.
During his first campaign and presidency he claimed he had no business deals with Russia and there is no record of any governmental deal with Putin during that administration.
There’s no record of any deal yet during this administration.
What was he referring to, some secret governmental deal(s) or business deals?

Joe Walsh &

Once upon a time, there was a sovereign nation that wanted to be a democracy & join the free world. The sovereign nation lived next door to an evil dictator who didn't want the sovereign nation to join the free world. So the evil dictator invaded & went to war against the sovereign nation. For 3yrs, with help from the free world, the sovereign nation valiantly defended its sovereignty. But then America, the leader of the free world, elected a very bad man who was actually on the side of the evil dictator. And with that, the world changed overnight. America abruptly left the coalition of the free world and partnered up with the evil dictator. The rest of the free world was stunned & saddened, but they quickly rallied even stronger to the sovereign nation's side. And the fight for freedom & democracy went on, with America, for the very first time, finding itself on the wrong side.
The End

Pete F. 03-02-2025, 08:13 PM Unlike for Ukraine, Trump is not demanding any mineral agreement or other concessions from Israel to get more military aid —and is not waiting on Congress for approval:
Rubio bypasses Congress to send Israel 4 Billion in arms. Emergency declaration sends 2000# bombs and other military armaments.
Planning to finish the genocide so Trump Gaza can start?

wdmso 03-02-2025, 08:42 PM Washington now ‘largely aligns’ with Moscow’s vision, Kremlin says
Tension between the United States and Ukraine, laid bare in the Oval Office meeting of Trump and Zelensky, is seen in Moscow as a “gift.”
The maga horde is beyond gullible
Pete F. 03-03-2025, 09:42 AM By standing up to Trump and Vance in the Oval Office, Zelenskyy once again demonstrated that he is capable of withstanding pressures that would crush other leaders.
Trump and Vance enjoyed playing the tough guys on home turf. But Zelenskyy is the real thing. He stayed in Kyiv, when Russian forces were closing in and the city was under bombardment. Vance, by contrast, chose to move to a secure location when confronted with a few hecklers on a skiing trip this weekend.
