Most know in MAY and June I fish the taunton river and narragansett bay usual until july when the water temps push the fish out front
this year last week of april and 1st week of May. saw big bass on Herring. well after that push of herring no pogies showed to keep the fish around '
the Squid run off Newport was banner. now the sand eels and seems Scup is the preferred bait ... all impacted the fishing in My area.
hoping to get out front soon between the holidays and the weather its be near impossible or just wait for Albies which are my happy place

tight lines and always feel free to reach out with intel or ask for intel.

going to try to sneak out front tomorrow. I been told thats where all the bass are? keyed in on scup and sand eels

No bait, birds nor fish in the mid to lower bay for the last 4 trips. Bass on the outside reef not a ton. Short fluke everywhere (a good sign for the future I hope). Too many draggers imo. With wdmo - come on albies!

Managed 1 32in fish out of this tube and worm. had the tide change. and my screen looked like this for Hours. EELs squid . flutter spoon x rp fast and slow topwater doc. live Scup should have tried short fluke .. no Love i am guessing its a night bite

If you fish around Gould Island at 0' dark 30, you will find large.
Clammer can tell you other spots in Narragansett Bay. Biggerst fish I ever hooked and lost, in the surf was in July at 2:00 AM at dead low tide. Live eel. Straightened a 6/0 4X Gamagatsu hook.
