Rob, weekend plans? I think your headed to the canal for a couple days if I recall. Will try to call you later today. I can't really justify the 2-1/2 hr ride for one nights tides....I think I will hit Pt Judith again..Bass Rock road to start until the surfers leave...

Hey Rob! How did your season go? I spent a lot of time collecting more gear, modifiying some lures, and even catching a couple dozen fish, but nothing big. I stopped by the Canal in October to watch some of the guys fish (was on my way home from Wellfleet visiting) from your favorite spot. Saw a couple of schoolies caught on jigs with pork. THe guys seem to really know what they were doing. Boy, with a good current, fighting a big fish could be a job.

Hopefully I'll be able to "tag along" next year on a couple of canal trips with you. January 1 starts a new vacation season, and I will be setting a lot aside for fishing when the fishing it good! Seems like your getting into the ice fishing thing. I have been for some time. If you ever need great panfish jigs, go to Great stuff that really kills giant sunnies, crappies etc.

Rob, see message below. Hoping to get out tonite to either Judith or Bass Rock. Want to sling some eels at the area you did well on at Judith, (east side of point), have never fished there, can you give me some landmarks?

Thanks for getting back to me! I have had some problems navigating, never did this post and thread business before, and computer was down for a while. We are moving the next two weekends to East Hampton, so now i can gear up for more surf work. Would really like to meet you sometime where you fish, as I need to know what to use, tide info etc.--Have gone a few nights and only caught a couple of shorties, but learning has a curve to it....
Rick Seifert--315-427-3321--Call if your going out sometime!

It was nice to meet ya down there at PJ. Did you fish after the storm? I packed it in and went home. You would not believe the fishing at the canal monday morning. I took my dad down there and between the two of us we got 30-40 fish, only a couple were not 22-24 pounds. I got a 38-40 pounder which is my second best. It was unreal fishing. Im more than happy to give you any information you need about the canal or other areas from CT and Ri.

Rob, I think you may be the guy I met at Pt Judith last Sat nite. We were talking with a guy from PA that had a camper at the parking area about 11 PM. If so, send me a message, as you fish the canal a bit and I need to know more. Thanks.
